Artarmon Mazda sales representative, Anita Reddy, aspired to join the car industry after re-building the very first car she ever owned. She launched her career in 1999 and became a dedicated Mazda driver in 2000. Her favourite model is the Mazda MX5, but she currently drives a new Mazda 6.
“I love Mazdas because of the âzoom zoom’ factor,” Anita says. “They’re fun cars to drive.”
Anita became a member of the team at Eurocars Mazda Artarmon in 2002 and holds a personal best sales record of 35 Mazdas in just one month!

Firstly thanks for all the work you did to make my Mazda 3 purchase a great one. Iâm enjoying my car thoroughly, and am glad that I came back to buy my next car from you. I know how some car dealers can throw you from dealer to dealer, but Iâve got to admit, youâve probably been the most honest and conscientious sales representative.
The Mazda 3 is great, and the manual is much better than the auto as you said. Iâm also grateful that you agreed with me on colours that werenât so boring. Apart from that, thanks for going the extra distance to get me on the road as soon as possible, and keeping me in the loop as to when my car was arriving.

You never once said âNoâ or âNot sure we can do thatâ etc. Instead you listened, researched and came back with all the relevant details that would enable me to make an informed decision.

My father and I recently came to your store and met a lovely sales woman by the name of Anita.
I was looking at buying a brand new car and had my eye on the MX5 but was worried that it may be too low for me to drive.
On the spot we felt very comfortable by her professionalism and knowledge of the MX5 and thereafter put a holding deposit on the car. She even insisted that she make us a cup of coffee before we talked about the car.
Three days later she called to say the car has come and is ready for collection.

The MX5 does not come with a spare tyre instead it comes with a foam tool repair kit. I was really worried about how that would work and Danita kindly offered for me to come back in anytime to explain the step by step process, which she did.

I also had a thought: wouldnât it be great when you started up your new Mazda for the first time if there was a CD in the CD player and what should you hear but the Mazda theme song â zoom zoom zoom â just a little marketing idea. Weâre just so thrilled with our Mazda 6 Luxury Sports. Itâs certainly the best car Iâve ever owned. My whole attitude to owning and driving a car has changed. In the past Iâve generally regarded cars as a means of transport and often purchased the base model. However, as you know, this time were looking for leather seats â so we soon found ourselves looking at the luxury sports model. Resale value was also an important consideration. We have no doubt that our red Mazda 6 Luxury sports manual hatch will be a very desirable car a few years from now.
Also, itâs not easy choosing a car these days â with so many makes and models on the market. Itâs quite an effort to get to all the dealerships, wait for a test drive and then talk finance. But thanks to you, this task was easy at Eurocars Mazda. You really looked after us â even after the sale. We will always remember your friendly attitude and intense enthusiasm for Mazda.
I thought that Iâd share some of our initial impressions of the car, given that we have only had the vehicle for a week.
Handling â this is the biggest surprise. A few days after taking delivery, we were driving around the twists and turns of Mt Kosciusko National Park. We were initially a bit nervous of taking the car on this journey. We had hardly any time at all to get to know the car. But what a thrill it was to be heading for the snow in a brand new car. The Mazda 6 feels very secure on the road and is so well balanced. It was both easy to drive â as well as exciting. It goes around corners like itâs on rails! Iâm sure that this is partly due to the 17â rims and low profile tires. The steering is precise, but perhaps a little light. My only criticism so far. But for city driving, the light steering is a blessing. The motor also seems smooth with plenty of power.
Space â the hatch is the perfect size for two adults and our seven year old. Iâve always enjoyed the additional functionality of a hatch. Itâs amazing how much you can fit into a hatch â with either one or both back seats folded down. The Mazda 6 has an ingenious method of lowering the seat when the back seat is folded â allowing for a flat storage area.
Comfort â the car is loaded with so many features. Until now, I would have regarded these as excessive, but not anymore. There will be no turning back. Climate control, cruise control, electric driver seat, leather seats, sun roof, electric mirrors, the list goes on.
Safety â itâs not until you have a family that safety becomes a deciding factor. I think that perhaps a growing number of families have been persuaded into thinking that even a part-time 4Ã4 is a safer car. Sure I can see that our car has eight airbags, and that certainly gives me some comfort. However, the Mazda also feels safe to drive, because it corners and breaks so well. It seems very forgiving.
Looks â I didnât think that Iâd ever choose a car for looks. But I must say that it does look great in the metallic red. I feel very proud when I wash the car â or pull into the petrol station.
You will be the first person that we call when looking for our next car and we will also recommend you to all our friends.
