If you want an exhilarating drive, the Mazda3 is superbly well-equipped to deliver on Zoom-Zoom. Both 2.0 litre and 2.3 litre petrol engines employ Sequential Valve Timing (S-VT) and a variable induction system for optimum power and instant response at all engine speeds. And the added advantage of an electronic throttle for improved fuel efficiency.

Neo, Maxx, and Maxx Sport models feature either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed Activematic with manual type shift control. The SP23 is available with a 6-speed manual offering crisp shifting and enhanced fuel economy or opt for automatic convenience with a 5-speed Activematic which features steering wheel shift control that puts total control at your fingertips.

The Mazda3 is now available with a class-leading diesel engine that combines direct-injection and a variable geometry turbocharger for sporty driving with impressive fuel economy.

2.0 litre diesel engine

To deliver the performance gain from the engine’s high torque, the Mazda3 Diesel is mated to the same compact 6-speed manual transmission from the flagship Mazda3 MPS. MacPherson strut front and multi-link rear suspension promises linear handling and excellent ride control while Mazda3’s steering is tuned for greater sensitivity to engine speed variation mean the car goes exactly where you want it to. Impressive braking power is also at your command, with large diameter discs all round.
